This is what I needed the photoshopping a couple days ago for. We have a secret Santa pool at work and I drew my boss. He has a 63 4 door Bel Air, so I had some help (thanks MontegoMan!), created a vectorized car, printed it out on our vinyl cutter, then sand blasted the design into the glass. Came out nice.

Very very cool. Might have to try this. We have a vinyl cutter at work. Any tips? Now I just need a vector image of my S4 and w108.

Try to minimize small details, it gets tough for the vinyl cutter to cut them and even more difficult to peel them away. The process though was cut the sticker, peel away all the black (I chose the black as what I wanted etched, I suppose you could do the inverse), get some transfer tape and lay that over the vinyl, then peel the backing off the vinyl, stick it to the glass, and then peel the transfer tape off. Then just mask off the rest of the glass with tape.

Our sandblaster blasts medium at like 100 psi. It's not too aggressive of sand, and it makes a decent etch on the glass.

Where do you work? Sound like a sweet gig. I have some cad drawings you could use to make yourself a glass
